The Prairie Shop & Storage Barn in Amery, Wisconsin, is a 9,600 SF post-frame building designed for versatility, durability, and long-term functionality. This structure seamlessly combines cold storage with a dedicated heated shop area, creating a flexible space for equipment storage, workspace, and future expansion.
Situated in an open prairie setting, the project required strategic bracing and coordination to safely navigate wind conditions during construction. The 60’ x 120’ main building, complemented by dual 10’ lean-tos, maximizes usable space while maintaining an efficient footprint. Thoughtful planning, including rough-ins for future plumbing, electrical, and utility connections, ensures the building can evolve alongside the owner’s needs. As the project progressed, Hudson Builders remained adaptable, accommodating scope changes to deliver a solution that aligned with both vision and budget.
