Hudson Builders & Remodelers transformed a former downtown yoga studio into a modern one-bedroom apartment, reconfiguring the interior to include a full kitchen, living area, bedroom, and bathroom with a custom walk-in tile shower. The renovation involved demolishing existing walls, reframing the layout, installing new LVP flooring, custom cabinetry, and a waterfall island with Q-Quartz Calacatta Avana countertops and full-height backsplash. Bosch appliances, Emtek hardware, and CoreTec Cyril Oak flooring completed the clean, contemporary design, while a stack washer and dryer were seamlessly integrated into the kitchen cabinetry to maximize space.
Located above an active restaurant, the project required careful coordination with the City of Hudson to maintain safe access to the building while construction was underway. Working in an older downtown structure also presented typical challenges, including uneven floors and walls, along with exterior repairs such as tuckpointing and painting the brick façade. Through thoughtful planning and communication with the out-of-state client, the Hudson Builders & Remodelers team successfully delivered a functional and stylish urban living space.
