The Rustic Farmhouse Basement Buildout transforms a 1,600-square-foot lower level into a warm, highly personalized living space rooted in craftsmanship and character. This project blends modern functionality with authentic farmhouse elements, many sourced directly from the client’s property.
From the outset, the goal was to create a space that felt both elevated and deeply meaningful. This project incorporated custom-milled materials, including black walnut harvested from the owners land and repurposed barn wood, bringing a one-of-a-kind story into every detail. The finished basement includes two bedrooms, a full bathroom with a double vanity, a cozy living area, laundry space, and a cedar-lined closet, delivering both comfort and long-term value to the basement area.
The result is a thoughtfully crafted lower level that reflects the homeowner’s lifestyle, history, and vision, proving that great design is as much about story as it is about structure.
